The 2024–25 season is the 136th season in the history of Bolton Wanderers Football Club and their fourth consecutive season in League One, having lost the previous season's play off final. In addition to the domestic league, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.

Pre-season and friendlies
On 4 June 2024, the club announced their first set of pre-season fixtures, welcoming Stoke City at home and facing Port Vale away.[11] A third friendly against Middlesbrough, to be played at Bishop Auckland, was added three days later.[12] The first pre-season friendly for the B-Team was announced on June 11, facing Stoke City U21s.[13] On 17 June, another fixture was announced against Chorley.[14] Another B-Team fixture was added on 19 June against Workington.[15] On 20 June, a home friendly against Italian side Fiorentina was added.[16] On 25 June, a behind-closed-doors friendly was added against West Bromwich Albion, to be played at St George's Park.[17] The same day, a fixture against Atherton Collieries was added for the B-Team.[18]

On 26 June, the League One fixtures were announced. It sees Bolton open their campaign on 10 August away at Leyton Orient, with the regular season concluding on 3 May, at home against Stevenage.[20]
