Dinah Soar is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.^[1] Her name is a pun on the word "dinosaur".

Dinah Soar was created by John Byrne, and first appeared in West Coast Avengers vol. 2 #46 (July 1989).

Dinah Soar is a humanoid pterosaur from the Savage Land and a founding member of the Great Lakes Avengers.^[2] She is a lover of team leader Mr. Immortal who can calm the rage he suffers after resurrecting.^[3]

Dinah is later killed by Maelstrom, and comes to reside in a limbo-like afterlife with other deceased GLA members.^{[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]}

Dinah Soar possesses a pterosaur-like physiology that enables her to fly at high speeds. She has a hypersonic voice that allows her to project inaudible sound waves, as well as an empathic rapport capable of calming down Mr. Immortal every time he resurrects himself.^[11][12]
