Dory Selinger (born 13 October 1971) is an American former Paralympic cyclist who competed in international cycling competitions and is a former world record holder. He is a Paralympic and three-time World champion in track cycling and has competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Paralympics.[1][2]
Accident
In January 1993, Selinger and his friend were involved in a car accident. His right leg got caught into the wheel well of the car that had hit him, he spent seven days in a coma and had his right leg below the knee amputated, he also had a head injury which affected his speech and memory. His friend was killed in the accident.[3]
