Federal Polytechnic, Oko is a Nigerian polytechnic located in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State.[1] Established in 1979,[2] it was previously named the College of Arts, Science and Technology.[3][4]

Federal Polytechnic, Oko is recognized as one of the developing tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It has established memoranda of understanding with several universities in Nigeria and abroad.[5][6]

On July 31, 2024, Dr. Eugene C. Ubaka became the Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko.His appointment was made by the Chairman of Federal Polytechnic Oko Governing Council, Sen. Engr. Barnabas Gemade OFR.

Campus

The Polytechnic has three campuses located across Nigeria.[11]

  • The main campus is at Oko which occupies a total land area of 89 hectares or approximately acres.
  • Ufuma campus occupies a total land area of 52 hectares or approximately 129 acres.
  • Atani campus has a total area of 40 hectares.[12]
