Reception

A Century of Canadian Cinema said "Filmed mostly in Toronto being passed off as Los Angeles, this is a tribute to β€œthe most respected police force on the continent.” It no doubt has many honest and efficient constables, but so do Canadian police forces, will there ever be a time when we'll make films identitfying Canadian police forces? Other than the RCMP of course!"[2]
