Mehr (Persian: مهر, Persian pronunciation: [mehɾ]^[1]) is the seventh month of the Solar Hijri calendar, the official calendar of Iran and Afghanistan.^[1] Mehr has thirty days.^[1] It begins in September and ends in October by the Gregorian calendar. ^{[citation needed]}

Mehr is the first month of autumn, and is followed by Aban.^[1]

It is named after the Iranian deity Mithra.
