Wigsthorpe is a hamlet in the east of the English county of Northamptonshire, south of the town of Oundle and the village of Barnwell.[1]

It is in North Northamptonshire and is part of the civil parish of Thorpe Achurch.[2]

Attested in 1232 as Wykingethorp, the name is believed to mean "Outlying farmstead or hamlet of a man called Vikingr".[3]
